Zion Family Going to the Twins Game!

ZionTwins2015We have an opportunity to go to Target Field and cheer on the MN Twins! On Saturday, June 20 a bloc of tickets have been reserved as a fellowship opportunity for our church family. Can you come?! The game begins at 1:10. All transportation, food, and other expenses are the responsibility of each family. Here is the breakdown on tickets:

Section Description Price
Homerun Porch Left field top deck $27
Homeplate Deck Behind home, lower deck $40
Diamond Box $60

We are asking families to sign up with payment in hand (or VERY soon thereafter!) to make sure there is no confusion. If we have more than 25 tickets, we can arrange that, but if we have less we lose our reservation with Target Field. The first deadline is May 28.

As disciples of Christ, we don’t get together simply for love of sports or parties, but for the purpose of fellowship in the Spirit! Pray about spending time with other families, or even inviting someone to come with Gospel intentionality! Questions or signing up? Contact the church or Pastor Brian.

Sermon: Wisdom in Christ from Proverbs 14

We all need wisdom, but as we celebrate Mothers Day, it takes a lot of wisdom to be such a courageous, loving, fearless mother – as so many of our women are! But how can we grow in wisdom? And what is wisdom’s response when it seems like things aren’t going forward? Proverbs 14 teaches us how wisdom builds its house – for mothers, and us all – by growing wise in Christ!

Sermon: Finding Rest In Jesus from Mark 2 & 3

In our sermon series “Mark: Discipleship in Christ Through the Gospel,” we are reminded that in our burn out and exhausted world, we are all looking for rest. Where do you go for rest? The next vacation or get away? Or do you use God’s appointed day, in obedience to the fourth commandment? Come learn how Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, and how we can find rest in meeting needs and doing Gospel good.

Redemption For Broken Marriages

The Natos were a family like so many other, until deep sin threatened to split their family to the core. The only hope was Jesus Christ, and His Gospel brought deep change, transformation, and rescue to their lives. Not what they once were, the Natos have experienced true redemption in Jesus Christ!

“We are often asked why we keep telling this story even though it seems painful and embarrassing. But to us, it is a beautiful story of redemption. It’s a story of a kind and merciful God that worked a miracle using two very broken people in a very desperate situation. And it’s a story of how God was glorified even in the devastation of adultery and sin.”
