Each summer, we enjoy vacations from the school year, from the winter blues, and perhaps even from our work schedule as well. But the last thing we want to take a break from is the Lord! This summer, as the temperatures rise we pray that your faith in Christ would rise also! Our Summer Parsonage Bible Study hopes to help you accomplish just that, as we gather for study, prayer, fellowship, and a wonderful time!
To get the job done, we need the necessary tools. For believers, the main tool God has given us is the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ! Many of have the Gospel in our tool box, but it sits unused because we assume it was a “one time use” to “get us saved.” But did you know the Scriptures paint a different picture of how the Gospel is to work in our lives?! From Genesis to Revelation, from Eden to the New Jerusalem, the Gospel is pictured as “the power of God unto salvation… for all who believe” (Rom 1:16 – 17)! We want to tap into that Gospel power!
Join us on Wednesdays at 7pm at the Parsonage to consider what a difference the Gospel makes in our lives. Do you want to learn to speak differently or use your tongue in a loving manner? Come find out what Jesus has done, and how that news changes your speech! Do you want to deal with doubts, worries, and fears? Learn the best news Jesus performed, and how God’s power changes us from the inside out! Do you want to address habits, attitudes, and lifestyle patterns? The Good News of Jesus is here to cancel the penalty, power, and presence of those evils in our lives!
We hope to see you Wednesday night!

We will be using the following songs and passages from the Word of God in our corporate gathering this Lord’s Day. Please prayerfully use these resources to prepare your hearts to “come into His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4).

We give thanks to the Lord for providing an answer to prayers, a help to ministry, and excitement for future service at Zion, as He has recently provided Eric Schafer to fill our youth ministry director. There will be an installation service for Eric during worship on June 5, and a coffee reception to follow the service.
