A Harvest prayer from Zion for our farmers, their families, and all who work in and alongside Agriculture:

Almighty God and Everlasting Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, You are exalted as our faithful, unchanging Creator, changeless before the changing seasons; and we glorify You, the Father of Lights from Whom all good gifts at harvest time come. We worship You, the Lord of the Harvest, and seek first Your kingdom and Your glory in this season of gathering in.

How we thank you, dear Father, for your gifts! We lift up thanksgivings: for Your beauty in shaping the season; for Your bountiful care as you fill the earth with life-giving food and good things; for health, and time, and technology to be good stewards of the land You give; for supportive families in long days of work, countless prepared meals, and steady love over the uneven ground; and most of all for the Spirit of Christ, who never leaves and equips us as we bring the grain to the garner.

We humbly request, in the Name of Your only begotten Son, for Your strong protection in safety against accidents. Please grant patience and perseverance when the days grow long and strength runs low. Renew our strength, as well as our minds, to remember You are the God who provides when we are in want. Forgive us where we reap but have not sown; coveted while lacking contentment; labored without love. Cover our trespasses under the blood of the Lamb; produce the fruit of the Spirit in our hearts. Order our hearts and our steps, O Lord Christ, for our safety, our prosperity, and the fame of Your Name.

Hear us, Faithful Savior, for apart from You we can do nothing. We intercede for our farmers and families, in the Name of Jesus, and for our church family. We thank You that You are trustworthy and steadfast, and we ask for Your grace to trust You more deeply for harvest this year. Draw us deeper into Your love, safely into Your protection, with wisdom into Your truth, and with purity into Your holiness. We ask all this in the matchless Name of Jesus the Messiah, who lives and reigns with You, our Father; together with Your Spirit; one God, perfect in majesty, power, dominion, and glory, world without end. Amen!
