This Sunday, Rev. Matt Stanghelle (PCA) will be at Zion to share about the ministry to Europe and Norway.
Matt and his wife Deborah are leading a team of Norwegians and internationals to plant the first church in Norway with Reformed theology. Parents to four children, Norway runs deep in Matt’s family heritage. They consider it a great privilege to church plant in the land of his forefathers. Matt is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America and is serving his call with the Ministry to the Military and Internationals.
Stanghelle’s are planting the first congregation in Stavager, Norway. They will be partnering with Pastor Jonas Stava, and his wife Pattie and family, to shepherd and lead this congregation.
Matt and Rev. Lund first met at the same Bible camping ministry, Shamineau Camp & Conference Center, and also attended Bethel University together. We rejoice in God’s providence allowing their ministry paths to intersect again. You can learn more about We Go In Faith at their website, and their congregation FPC Norway.
Stanghelle’s ministry through We Go In Faith is seeking to accomplish four goals:
- Plant an international church in Stavager
- Expand Gospel ministry to Norwegian culture
- Form a church planting network in Norway and Europe
- Establish a Norwegian denomination with Reformed theology and Presbyterian polity
Please join in praying that God would establish the work of their hands for His glory. Information for financial support is available on their website.
There are many opportunities to learn about We Go In Faith and Matt’s ministry this weekend. Matt will speak to the Zion Men’s Breakfast, present & preach in worship, and address the youth Sunday evening. We hope you will make it a priority to join us for these wonderful opportunities, as we pray for Gospel ministry and Reformed theology to spread in Norway – and across the world – as the waters cover the seas for the glory of Jesus Christ!
