Living Our Faith At School

School is back!

Those words console parents, terrify students, and create a flurry of activity for teachers and schools. But the return of the school year also means something else for Christians and our young people – we must think carefully about how to live out our faith in the school year!

Fortunately, Zion has some resources for you!

Three pastors – Juan Sánchez and Afshin Ziafat, and Sam Allberry – think about what role Christianity ought to play for parents as they select school choices for their students. As you think about your kids, what they receive at school, and what they need spiritually, think about where God is directing you to live by faith in His Son to disciple kids for His glory.

In the second video, Al Mohler gives some comments on how to help our kids live out their faith in public schools.

As Mohler says, “Let [kids] know that a battle for their minds, but also their hearts… is on for joy in Christ.”

Zion, let’s pray for parents and students, that our families will be full of Christ’s love. Let’s pray for our teachers and schools, that Christ would rule and His truth would push through the lies of the world. In our words and actions, let us live with the Spirit’s love as a city on a hill!
