Every summer, we want to disciple our young people to value and participate in missions. One way we want to encourage this is through our summer mission trip. This year, over twenty senior high students and adult chaperones are going to Niagara Falls, NY, to serve in Jesus’ Name!

Students: Braden, Kris, Cam, Hayden, Mara, Evan, Tori, Isaac, Maddie, Grace, Caleb, Bri, Ashley, Kylie, Shelby, Payton, Kennedie

Please pray for our team as they go to serve in upstate New York. Partnering with Youthworks, our students will be running Kids’ Clubs, helping with service projects, and assisting local organizations to bless local residents. Between building relationships and homes, laying down love and painting walls, we are praying that our students would do all this for Christ’s Kingdom and His glory!

Here are some suggestions for prayer each day (Friday, June 22 – 29):

Friday: Travel Day. Pray for the team to be kept safe as they drive from Iowa to New York, for travel logistics to work smoothly, and for the Lord to prepare their hearts for what they are going to experience.
Saturday: Team bonding day. Pray for the Spirit to work unity and servant-hearted love among the team. Pray for the chaperones in their leadership.
Sunday: Lord’s Day. Pray that God would meet the team as they attend worship services at a local congregation, and they would be a great testimony of Christ with saints from other places. Pray for resting in Christ before labors.
Monday: First day of mission service. Pray for our team to mesh well with Youthworks staff, and for wisdom for clear goals for the week.
Tuesday: Pray for the relationships the team is making with fellow servants and locals. Pray for a clear witness to Christ in word and deed. Pray for parents at home missing/worrying/praying for their students!
Wednesday: Ask the Lord to teach our young people to put other’s needs ahead of their own, and to humbly serve as Christ has served us. Request that God grant our team a heart that honors others in Jesus’ Name.
Thursday: Pray for perseverance with the end in sight. With the last evening’s activities, intercede that God would move powerfully in the hearts of our young people in response to His Holy Word.
Friday: Pray for all the tearful good-byes and hugs. Ask for a safe trip home!
