Zion Evangelical & Reformed Church will be celebrating God’s sustaining grace for the past 125 years. Established in 1889, this year marks the tremendous blessings and advances the congregation has experienced as they celebrate their quasquicentenniel.
“When we consider the number of years Zion has been serving the community, we marvel at the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness, and are eagerly waiting to see what He has in store for us for the future,” said the Rev. Brian J. Lund, minister of the congregation.
The celebration will begin with the Worship and Communion service at 10 a.m. on August 3. The catered meal will follow the morning worship allowing time to visit and fellowship.
Special activities are planned for children between the meal and the afternoon service that will begin at 1:30 p.m. A short service and time for sharing will conclude the celebration. A coffee hour is planned following that service.
