I know it is difficult to believe, but it is already that time of year again: Vacation Bible School! The school year is almost over, summer is upon us, and it is time to gather in fun and praise the Lord with VBS. Our VBS this year will go from May 31 – June 3 (Tuesday – Friday). We’d like to personally invite you and your kids to join us at Zion for a week filled with fun activities, a focus on God, and great fellowship as well!

This year at PandaMania VBS, your kids will learn about the God of the Bible who made each of us, has amazing plans for our lives, and His wild love that He shows in Jesus Christ! In order to understand God’s word better, all of these themes will be taught to our kids from Psalm 139, where we are reminded:

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast… For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

As we focus on God’s word and hide it in our hearts, God teaches us of His love for us! Our prayer is that God’s love will change our lives so that we learn to love others in Christ also.

So what should you do next?First, begin to pray for Zion and our VBS that it would be an amazing experience for everyone involved – from our helpers and volunteers all the way to each and every one of our students! Second, consider playing a role in VBS yourself. Would you like to commit to praying for the ministry up to and through June 3? Would you consider volunteering some of your time to either help set up/tear down, or assist in the day to day activities? Perhaps you would consider being a Station Manager or a Group Leader! Finally, help us get the word out to your students or other young people you know. We want everyone to know about God’s wild love in Christ Jesus, and for many to experience our PandaMania!
