“Redeem the time.”
That’s the challenge from Ephesians 5:16. But how do we make the best use of the time our Sovereign God gives us when there are so many things that need to get done? And there are important things to do. Things like encourage and build one another up (I Thessalonianns 5:11). Like not forgetting to gather together (Hebrews 10:25). Like reaching out to feed the hungry (Romans 12:20). Like praising God through song (Psalm 149:1), both young and old. Like hiding God’s Word in our hearts (Psalm 119:11).
All of these things are important, but our time is limited. This is why Zion has our New Life program! This Wednesday night activity allows us to reach out with a meal to our community, enjoy fellowship, praise the Lord, study His truth, and hide His Word within. Jesus wants us to grow in His new life, and we want to redeem the time together each week for this very purpose. Every Wednesday night from September through April, we’ll be gathering and reaching out to bless others!
A usual Wednesday night at New Life looks like this:
