Move Out Week 39

From the email “Jesus Is the Strength of Our Heart“:

Death & Life
What is mortification and vivification? If you aren’t familiar with those terms, they refer to death – putting sin to death, and life – coming into greater life by faith. A mortician deals with death, and mortification is the same. People shout “viva Las Vegas,” meaning “live!” in the city. Vivification is coming to life by faith.

You can understand these terms by the Heidelberg CatechismThe Holy Spirit works these powers within you. This is a part of the Christian life, being and becoming holy.
